It all started in 1901

Fred Vivian, founder of the King City Rustler, which would eventually become Casey Printing

In 1901, Casey Printing founder, Fred Vivian, with nothing but an old Washington Hand Press and the proverbial "shirt tail full of type", started a print shop in the little country hamlet of King City, California.

Today, multiple generations later, his great grandsons, and great-great-grandson, together with a team of talented craftspeople, are putting more than a century of graphics knowledge and experience to work for marketers. With a complete, modern production facility, including digital pre-press, digital and offset presses, bindery, and mailing, Casey provides high-quality print and digital marketing solutions to meet the demands of today's competitive media marketplace.

Casey prides itself on being responsive to customer needs. Members of the sales and customer service team provide both in-plant and on-site coordination of all aspects of print and marketing projects, from price estimates through delivery schedules. Casey even offers customers a highly trained technical representative who is available to provide detailed technical assistance. This is an extremely valuable service considering the complexities of today's ever-changing world of communications.

In 2008, Casey became the first business in South Monterey County to receive the Monterey Bay Area Green Business Program certification.

Here are some of the things we do

  • 74% of the paper that travels through our plant contains recycled content
  • All paper waste is upcycled or recycled
  • We use a variety of vegetable and nut oil based inks on our offset presses
  • Our facility has been audited by Lockheed-Martin Aspen Systems to assist in reducing energy consumption. By implementing advanced lighting, intelligent HVAC, and more efficient compressed air we have saved more than 130,000 kW/h of energy per year
