Which Companies Buy the Most Printing (The Answer Will Surprise You!)

Does Anyone Buy Print Anymore?

Apple, Goggle, Amazon, Microsoft, AT&T, Verizon, Comcast.  Looks like a line up of the nations biggest, high tech, digital information based companies, right? Yup.

Wanna guess what else they have in common? According to Printing Impressions magazine, they are all listed in the top 20 of print purchasers in the country!

Along with household names like Pepsi, Procter & Gamble and Nestle, these tech based companies account for a huge percentage of the world's print demand. Why? Because in spite of the important place that digital information holds in our society, print plays a crucial role in advertising, marketing, public relations, packaging and documentation.

Combined, this high tech group will account for more the $5 billion of the $17 billion that will be spent on print by the top 20.

So what? What does that mean to savvy marketers, publishers, advertising agencies and graphic designers? It means that if they want to communicate effectively, if they want to model their content distribution after the way its done by the most successful companies in the world today, print will play a huge part in their marketing mix.
